Berry is a saturated magenta with red underneath it, not a pastel pink. Sateen does something particular to a color this strong: the crest of every fold goes bright and the hollows go close to black.
The weave is dense enough to hold that much color without going dull. Cool to the hand with a low sheen, and nothing about the surface scratches.

Cold wash, no hot water, no fabric softener. Softener coats the fibers and dulls the finish; the weave softens on its own with use.
